Since 2015, our team have been providing our clients with an in-depth and detailed hair stylist consultation before we offer our services. This consultation allows our stylists to get to know you, your hair, and your goals. Every person who comes through our doors has an individual style, with a different type of curl, past hair history, and a look that they want to achieve. We do not want to start working with any of our clients until we understand exactly what is needed and where we can make the most difference. This is a process that cannot be hurried.

The Rumbie and Co Hair Stylist Consultation
A visit to our salon is a pause in the hustle and bustle of life. You are more than just an anonymous head of hair – our clients are part of our community, and we get to know each one of our clients through a detailed hairdressing consultation.
When you book your first appointment with us, we will take a 50% deposit to secure. You will receive a confirmation text 48 hours before your appointment.
We ask that all our clients come and see us with their hair washed, detangled and dried, without extensions, cornrows, or plaits (a separate booking can be made to remove these if necessary).
When you arrive, you will notice immediately that you are in a creative, safe, and relaxed atmosphere. We want you to feel that whatever your hair history, we are a judgement-free zone – even if you have had a hair disaster from another salon who did not understand your curls.
As you first sit, we welcome you with a relaxing Visarôme massage. With a choice of essential oils to help you relax and unwind, you can spend time enjoying the ambience of our salon as part of our community.
Hair Stylist Consultation: The Rumbie & Co Service
The comprehensive hair stylist consultation we offer is one of the most important parts of our service. In this 30-minute session, our curl stylist will get to know you and your curl goals, so that we can offer you the most appropriate solutions. This has a fee of $50, which will be ascribed to whichever service you choose within 3 months. A bridal hairdressing consultation is also available; it is a longer session where we can really get to the heart of your ideal wedding style and get prepared to achieve that.
Once we know your curl goals, we will then work with you to provide a bespoke plan of action – making sure that we can get you the style you need while protecting your hair and making sure that you love your curls.
